The Conscience of Justice

This report narrates for UG’s achievements through activities which aim to realize the main goal of the “promoting the independence of the Egyptian judiciary” project, which sought to encourage and improve the independence of the Egyptian judiciary through increasing the awareness and public support to create an independent judicial system that enhances the rule of law and human rights. This was through a set of miscellaneous activities that range between a number of research, awareness materials, meetings, discourses, action plans, and recommendations to ensure sustainability of project.

Within the first three weeks from (January till March 2008), UG conducted necessary preparatory arrangements; forming the administrative structure, forming executive panel, selecting venues and dates for local discourses and paper work preparation, the project logo, developing and printing the first project awareness material, printing envelopes and correspondences

The very time period witnessed the first and second discourses in Aswan and Menia.

As for the last three weeks (April till July 2008), It had witnessed printing and distributing the second awareness material, technical arrangements for closing discourse of the project, and printing a book that documents the project achievements and future plan, and “Conscience of Justice” was the product, it summarizes project goals.
