A Door onto the Desert

The study issued by the Research and Training Unit of the United Group in 2001 with the support of Freidrich Nauman Foundation.
It is a legal political study edited by Dr. Gihad Ouda, professor of political science, Mr. Hafez Abu Seada, secretary general of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights and Mr.Negad El-Borai attorney at law and director of the United Group.

The study tackles the Egyptian parliamentary elections of 2000. Through five chapters, the study politically and legally analyzed 2000 elections. The analysis stipulated the independence of the Egyptian judiciary and its leading role in the community.

Furthermore, it stressed that only the president is capable of putting things in their right frame and proved that the Egyptian regime experiences imbalances and the relation between its three authorities are all in favor of the executive.
