Arab guide to free and fair elections
This guide was developed by Dr. Ali El-Sawi, under the supervision of deputy chief of Al-Ahram Center for Political Studies Dr. Wahid Abdel Maguid and the attorney at law Mr. Negad El-Borai.
The guide sights the mechanisms upon which the democratic regime stands, elections take the lead- people choose their leaders through elections.
The guide aims to give a set of political principles, rules and procedures for Arab readers so that the election process is reformed and the path towards free and fair elections is reinforced.
It is divided into three sections conforming with the election stages which are; pre-elections, during elections and post elections. Each section contains a number of procedures or rules which take into consideration the necessity of realizing balance upon application.
