In the frame work of the project "Promoting Freedom of Belief & Religious Tolerance in Egypt" which aims at promoting the freedom of belief in Egypt and fighting sectarian incitements, and implemented by the United Group with the support of Embassy of Switzerland, the United Group will conduct orientation training workshops for lawyers from "Cairo, Alexandria, Fayoum, Minya, Qena, Aswan and Sharkia" governorates on providing legal assistance to victims of Sectarianism within February 2013.

United Group organizes a press conference titled "The Egyptian People and the Constitution"
On Wednesday, June 20th 2012 in Salon Vert, Cairo Marriott Hotel, United Group - Attorneys at Law, Legal Advisors & Human Rights Advocates - organized a press conference titled "The Egyptian People and the Constitution" in collaboration with Al Andalus Institute for Tolerance and Anti-Violence Studies within the framework of the political awareness project "Let's Change for Tomorrow" funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
In order to develop a legal frame for the civil work in Egypt and to ensure its independence, United Group is organizing “Civil Society Without Borders” conference
United Group is organizing a conference entitled with "Civil Society without Borders" on Wednesday April 4, 2012, at Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel.
The conference which will be attended by more than five hundred civil associations from 17 different governorates, aims at determining the final general frameworks that should control the NGOs draft bill which is prepared by United Group in coordination with associations regional unions in 11 governorates, and it will be written and edited by an expert committee headed by Dr. Ahmed El-Borai, professor and head of social legislation department and the former Minister of the Ministry of Manpower.
United Group -Attorney at Law and Legal Advisors- is organizing ""Towards a National Consensus for a New Constitution" conference on Wednesday March 14, 2012, at Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel.
The conference aims to come out with perceptions which can help the committee preparing the new constitution to know the ideas of the citizens and what they are demanding in their new constitution, and to open a social discussion on the new constitution.
More than three hundred persons with different intellectual and professional trends, opinion makers, legal experts, professors of political science, Parliament and Shoura Council members, political parties and independent leaders, Civil Society Organizations and Student Unions representatives, etc, and others who are interested from 15 different governorates were invited to the conference.
Mr. Negad El Borai -Attorney at Law and Senior Partner at United Group- stated that the conference will discuss what the Egyptians are expecting from the new Egyptian Constitution and its trends, and also the views of constitutional experts in the articles of the constitution that must be focused on, he explained that the conference program includes in addition to the first general session four parallel sessions, and a final session to decelerate the principles produced by the discussions.
El-Borai also said that the first opening session will be devoted to general trends of the Constitution, while the four sessions focusing on the rights and general freedoms, political system form, economic and social fundamentals, international convention reference and to ensure the independence of the judiciary.
Dr. Ahmed Kamal Abo El-Magd, Dr. Noor Farahat will participate in the first general session, while Mr. Mohammed Toson, Dr. Noha El-Zeney (Counselor), Mr. Essam Al-Islamboly (Attorney at Law), Dr. Ammar Ali Hassan, Dr. Moataz Abd El-Fattah, Ms. Nadin Abd-Allah (researcher), Dr. Ibrahim Awad, Mr. Kamal Abbas, Mr. Fared Zahran, Mr. Hisham Genenah (Counselor), Mr. Hisham Raoof (Counselor), Mr. Hafez Abo Seada (Attorney at Law), Ms. Amira Bahy El-Din (Attorney at Law) will participate in the working sessions.
The conference will be held on Wednesday March 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM till 5:00 PM, in Cleopatra Hall, Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo.
