Wide media coverage of the Freedom Messengers Network launching ceremonies in Jordan and Lebanon

In the scope of the "Freedom Messengers Network" project, implemented by the United Group in collaboration with the Center for Defending Freedom of Journalists (Jordan) and Media for Training Association (Lebanon), with the support of Rady School of Management, University of California, USA, both the Center for Defending Freedom of Journalists and Media for Training Association , in February 27 and March 01, respectively, launched the "Freedom Messengers Network" in Jordan and Lebanon in two ceremonies that attracted the attention of the Jordanian and Lebanese media institutions.

The ceremonies were well organized and witnessed the presence of prominent political and human rights figures, as well as displaying creations of the Freedom Messengers, including short films, plays, photos and caricatures discussing the issues of democracy, freedom of expression and human rights in Jordan and Lebanon.

A large number of Lebanese and Jordanian newspapers and news agencies published articles about the two ceremonies. Most articles tackled the speeches of the sponsors of the to ceremonies, Lebanese Minister of Information, Tarek Mitri and Jordanian Minister of Political Development Mussa Al- Ma'ayteh, who admired the project and praised the efforts made by the Center for Defending Freedom of Journalists, Media for Training Association and the Freedom Messengers themselves. Furthermore, they admired the creations of the Freedom Messengers represented in short films, plays, photos and caricatures that tackle democracy, freedom of expressions and human rights issues in Jordan and Lebanon.

It is noteworthy that the main celebration will be organized in Egypt by the United Group on March 30-31. The first day will be a scientific celebration at the headquarters of Al-Ahram institution. The second day will be at the Marriot hotel to display the creations of the Freedom Messengers. The ceremonies will be attended by the partners and the Freedom Messengers from Jordan and Lebanon.
