The weekly article of Mr. Negad Al-Borai in Al-Masry Al-Youm Newspaper on 09/17/2009. The article tackles the attempts of the Minister of Justice to insult the judiciary and interfere in its affairs, through trivializing the role of Judges Clubs (agencies elected by judges) and deliberately depriving judges of the financial benefits, which they gained and even deserve better than them, as well as breach of the rule of seniority in the formation of the Supreme Judicial Council in order junior judges to control the affairs of those who are senior to them.
This highlights the fact that this is a plan by the executive power to control judges and subject them to its desires, which are mostly against the law. Lastly Al-Borai highlights three main facts regarding this issue and proposes a number of actions that are needed to support the independence of the judiciary.
