Samir Sabri, attorney-at-law, filed a report to the Attorney-General, Counselor Abdel Meguid Mahmoud, requesting the prevention of the former Minister of Housing, Muhammad Ibrahim Suleiman, from traveling till investigating him on charges of corruption and facilitating the acquisition of public funds, according to some monitoring reports.
Sabri said for «Qabas»: the former minister might be sentenced to 25, if the allegations against him proved to be true.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian parliament agreed, last Monday, to accept the resignation of Suleiman, after he submitted it to the Head of the Parliament, Dr. Ahmad Fathi Sorour. Meanwhile the Government decided to fire him from his position as the Head of the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Company for Marine Services.
