UG discusses the violations of Aga Central Hospital in Dakahlia

In the framework of the activities of the "Community Action towards Transparency'' project, implemented by the United Group with the support of the United States Agency for International Development, and on the basis of the protocols of cooperation signed between the United Group and civil society associations, dated December 22, 2009, Al-Anwar Al-Muhamdaeyya Association, in Tanamel - Dakahlia, in cooperation with UG team, organized a discussion seminar on the aspects of public funds abuse in Aga General Hospital.

The seminar witnessed the attendance of numerous communities, represented in the presence of thirty participants including members of civil society associations, members of the local council of Menoufia, and a number of lawyers, journalists and party secretaries.

The seminar was opened by the speech of Mr. Sief Al-Din Muhammad, Secretary-General of the Regional Union of NGOs and the Chairman of the association, in which he welcomed the audience, thanked the United Group and highlighted the role of NGOs in controlling negative phenomena in society, such as public funds abuse and presented the devastating effects of this phenomena.

The speech was followed by presenting the irregularities that occurred in Aga Central Hospital and led to wasting public funds.The seminar was concluded by opening the floor for discussions and the audience participated by presenting their point of views and asking questions.
