Dated Wednesday, 23, 2009 Cairo Regional Union of NGOs hosted the fifth meetings in the series of "Managing Civil Society Associations away from Legal Errors." This meeting was titled "Conditions and Procedures of holding a General Assembly Meeting," it was attended by forty representatives of the NGOs signatory of protocols of cooperation with the Legal Aid Unit of Cairo and Giza. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Izz Al-Din Farghal, President of Cairo Regional Union of NGOs; it was followed by numerous inquiries on the technical points in calling for General Assembly Meetings and their types, Mr. Muhammad Bayoumi, social expert, responded to these inquiries. The discussions lasted for three hours, and due to the importance of the subject the NGOs demanded holding another meeting on the same subject. The meeting was concluded by distributing the 2010 agenda prepared by the Legal Aid Unit, which includes breaks on the raising awareness of the Law of Associations.
