"Alam El-Kotob" magazine published on February 7, 2009 the minutes of the heated seminar "Human Rights and Social Development", which was held at the cultural café.
During the seminar, Mr. Negad El-Borai (human rights activist and legal expert) asserted that of the main challenges to human rights in Egypt come the economic and political hardships, stressing that nations have to move to retrieve their constitutional and lawful rights, and not to resort to mere rebelling and destruction. Mr. El-Borai concluded that nations shall obtain their rights through particpating in the political sphere, stressing that lack of political particpation of citizens is the most dangerous decision obstructing economic and political renaissance.
